"Swept under the carpet". These words could describe the collaboration of an artist (P.R.) with an architect (C.M.). The red polymer carpet marks a big area in the centre of St Gallen, creating "public space". This is the whole idea of the intervention: to animate and recreate urban life. The result is a continuous space, a surface that contains everything, from benches to a car. A daring way to create a public space.Kisses.

Swept under the red carpet
The famous red steet in St.Gallen was something I skipped during the last stay in Switzerland. I was aware of its existence and even noticed for some seconds the red car right after the corner, but I just did not have the time to walk around. Of course now I could not miss the chance. So here are my favorite snapshots, taken on the bright red surfaces together with the hanging UFOS that have transformed a previously bland banking into an art square or simply- a masterpiece. This project was created by Pipilotti Rist and Carlos Martinez. More details below.

My November in Arbon
Hi Read, Dress & Travel readers!
It's been some days since I am back from a 3 weeks trip to Switzerland, again this year. My following posts will bу mainly showing you how beautiful can Switzerland be in a different season, a fact which I observed in the city of Arbon.
Arbon is a peaceful small region with exit to the lake and an extremely amazing view to the horizon. I have to admit that the swans, the sky, the trees and the sun make the pasarella around the lake tempting, lurid and romantic. You can feel in love with the small colorful houses with their painted walls, encrusted shutters and cobbled streets.
My November was full of discoveries and re-discoveries, of peace and sun and just nice days to enjoy. Hope yours was also one of the best.

Old city Baku part II
Azerbaijan has a rich cuisine. I noted that they even have similar dishes with Moldovan cuisine, but meat is what they truly like to eat and being in Azerbaijan you simply have to live with that. One interesting information is that Azerbaijan lies on a longitude which entails 9 climates from 11 continents.
But, I am not going to tell you how wonderful in Baku, because for me it was difficult to deal with the locals’ floating timetable, unsteady plans and muddy promises. An objective thinking is telling me that between those shining new office buildings which house the growing infrastructure of a modernizing economy and the mosques and churches of a varied of denominations, the Azeri culture is still very traditional and strict. All these contrasts, however, are confusing to the newcomer.
